Disclosure Text Regarding the Processing of Personal Data in the Donor/Volunteer Registration Form

As Umut Yolunda Humanitarian Aid Association (“Umut Yolunda Association”), we have prepared this Disclosure Text to inform you about the processing, storage, and transfer of your personal data in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and relevant legislation.

The personal information of our donors/volunteers may be processed by Umut Yolunda Association in accordance with the principles set forth in Article 4.2 of the KVKK:

How Are Your Personal Data Collected?

The personal data specified in the categories above are collected through your use of our website, such as filling out the registration form, adding donations in various categories to your account, completing donation transactions, and making payment requests, through partially or fully automated methods.

What Is the Legal Basis for Collecting Your Personal Data?

Your personal data is processed by Umut Yolunda Association based on the following legal grounds specified in Article 5 of the KVKK:

  • It is necessary for the fulfillment of the legal obligation of the data controller.
  • It is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract directly related to the parties.
  • It is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.

The contact information of our donors/volunteers will be processed based on their explicit consent for the purpose of sending electronic communications regarding the association’s advertisements, donation campaigns, and promotions. Donors have the right to request the cessation of communication for this purpose and to withdraw their explicit consent at any time.

Do We Transfer Your Personal Data to Third Parties?

The personal data mentioned above may be transferred to authorized public institutions and organizations within the scope required by legal regulations for the proper execution of activities, monitoring and conducting legal affairs, and providing information to authorized persons, institutions, and organizations.

What Are Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data and How Can You Use Them?

You can request the following from Umut Yolunda Association at any time:

  1. Learning whether your personal data is being processed.
  2. Requesting information if your personal data has been processed.
  3. Learning the purpose of processing your personal data and whether they are used in accordance with that purpose.
  4. Learning the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, domestically or abroad.
  5. Requesting the correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed, and requesting that the correction be notified to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred.
  6. Requesting the deletion, destruction, or anonymization of your personal data if the reasons necessitating the processing of your personal data have ceased to exist, and requesting that this be notified to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred.
  7. Objecting to the occurrence of a result against you by means of automated systems analyzing your processed data exclusively.
  8. Requesting compensation for damages incurred due to unlawful processing of your personal data.

You can submit your requests regarding the aforementioned rights and your requests within the scope of Article 11 of the KVKK, which regulates the rights of data subjects, through the “Data Controller Application Form” prepared to facilitate your requests at “www.umutyolunda.org”.
